The
Azienda Agrituristica Pedṛsola is located on a ridge of the Apennines,
at the edge of the ancient way that connects Florence to Ravenna and goes
through Faenza. It offers a resting place in green and harmonious surroundings
near the Lamone River and a few kilometers from the ancient medieval town
of Brisighella.
The first references to the habitable structures go back to the 1300s,
and explains the peculiar tower shape.
The main activity by the owners of Pedrosola is beekeeping
(they also have a small building set aside for lectures and to welcome
visiting groups to the beehives). The products of the farm are organic
products. Several types of honey are produced: acacia, chestnut,
sunflower, lime, forest flowers) and several types of jams (currant,
raspberry, blackberry, jostaberry, gooseberry) which are certified by
AIAB (Italian Association for Organic Farming).
The farm offers 4 bedrooms with private bath and 1
apartment (2+2 persons). Breakfast
is served, featuring the organic products of the farm: honey and jams.
Half board is also offered only to the guests of the agriturism. The food features typical local cuisine
using either food products of the farm or purchased from suppliers that
use environmentally friendly methods of production. Arrangements can be
made for vegetarian menus or unusual dishes that make use of the delicious
honeys.
The location of the farm makes it easy to reach places such as Brisighella,
Florence, Bologna, Ravenna, Ferrara, the Adriatic Coast and the MIRABILANDIA
amusement park that is designed for children and adults.
Nature lovers can head for the Park of the Forests of the Casentino, the
Chalk Vein of the Carne’ Park, the Cave of the Tanaccia di Brisighella
(13 km away), the Park of the Po River Delta (85 km away), and many walking
trails maintained by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club), mountain bike trails,
horseback riding, river fishing. All these activities are within easy
reach of the farm.
